Are you any of these?
- The surgery was meant to be the end of it. Now I plan my whole day around a toilet.
- Sludge and a low ejection fraction. I want to keep the organ if I honestly can.
- Ox bile worked for three weeks, then stopped. So what do people take next?
- Twenty grams of fat a day, six safe meals. My hair is falling out.
- Years of being told it was anxiety. I stopped going and started reading instead.
- Three weeks in, no change, and I assume I am doing it wrong. Morning or night?
Bile is the part nobody explains.
Bile keeps moving
TUDCA is a bile acid. Taken with food, it supports the flow that carries fats and waste out of the liver and into the gut.
Cells under less strain
It has been studied as a chemical chaperone, easing the stress that builds inside liver cells when they are working hard.
Fat gets easier
Bile flow supports normal fat digestion, which is the part most people notice first.

Gallbladder out in 2019 and fatty meals had been a gamble since. Three weeks in, that gamble is mostly gone.
Taking it because my GGT crept up. I cannot tell you what my bloods look like yet, but digestion is calmer and I am sticking with it.
Carnivore for two years and fat was still sitting heavy. Taking it with the first meal sorted that out.
On TRT and wanted something for the liver that was not a twelve-herb blend. One ingredient, one dose, nothing else in the capsule. Easy decision.
Bloating after any oily meal, plus a sluggish gut. Two weeks before I noticed anything, then a clear difference.
Enzymes flagged at a medical, so I went looking for bile acids rather than another blend. Straightforward label, no theatre.
Gallbladder out in 2014. The first month I did not notice much. The second month I stopped planning my days around the bathroom.
I train fasted and eat one big meal at night. The food coma after it used to write off my evening. Milder now, most nights.
Bought it for my husband after his scan came back clear but fried food still would not agree with him. He eats with the rest of us again.
Two capsules with dinner, that is the whole routine. No taste, no repeating on me, and the Sunday roast sits like it used to.
Sceptical, because I have a drawer full of things that did nothing. This one is on its third reorder, which says more than I can.
My ALT was the reason I started. I retest in the spring, but meals sit lighter and that alone keeps me taking it.
The three questions we are asked most.
I take prescription medication. Is TUDCA a problem?
Bile acids can affect how some medicines are absorbed, and TUDCA is not suitable alongside certain treatments. Speak to your GP or pharmacist before you start, particularly if you take medication for cholesterol, thyroid, immunosuppression, or blood thinning. We would rather you checked than guessed.
Is it safe on keto or carnivore?
Yes, and it is one of the most common reasons people take it. A very high-fat diet asks a lot of your bile acid pool, and TUDCA has been studied for supporting bile flow. Take two capsules with your first fat-containing meal of the day.
How soon after gallbladder surgery can I start?
Wait until your surgical team has signed off your recovery and cleared you to reintroduce fat, then start with two capsules with food. Most people notice the difference over two to three weeks rather than in the first few days. This is a slow build, and we would rather say so.
