Cookie Policy
Last updated: 31 August 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Dr.Primal uses cookies and similar technologies on this store, what they are for, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. It lets the site recognise your browser on a later page or a later visit. Related technologies — pixels, tags, web beacons, local storage and similar identifiers — do much the same job, and we refer to all of them here as "cookies".
Cookies set by this domain are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by another domain whose content or service appears on the page — a payment provider, an embedded video, an analytics or advertising service — are called third-party cookies.
Who sets cookies on this store
Our store runs on Shopify. Shopify sets the cookies needed to operate the storefront, the cart and the checkout, and it may set further cookies for the features we have enabled. We may also use apps and services that set their own cookies, and some of these are operated by third parties who act as independent controllers of the data they collect. Those third parties use the information in accordance with their own privacy and cookie notices, which we do not control.
The categories of cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies
These make the store work. They keep track of what is in your cart, hold your session together as you move between pages, carry you through checkout, protect against fraud and abuse, balance traffic across servers, and remember the cookie choices you have made. Without them the store cannot function, so they cannot be switched off from within the site. Blocking them in your browser will break the cart and checkout.
Preference cookies
These remember choices you have made so the store behaves the way you left it — for example your country or region, your language, or a banner or message you have already dismissed. They are not essential, but turning them off means the store will forget those choices.
Analytics and performance cookies
These help us understand how the store is used in aggregate: which pages are visited, how people move through the site, where a checkout is abandoned, and whether anything is broken. We use this to fix problems and improve the store. The reporting we look at is aggregated rather than aimed at identifying you personally.
Marketing and advertising cookies
These are used to measure whether our advertising works and, depending on your region and your choices, to show you advertising for our products on other websites and to avoid showing you the same advertisement repeatedly. They are generally set by third-party advertising and social platforms, which may combine what they collect here with data they hold from other sites.
We have deliberately not listed named vendors in this policy, because the set of apps and services connected to a store changes over time and a fixed list would quickly stop being accurate. Your browser's developer tools and the cookie controls described below will always show you the cookies actually present on your device.
Your choices
On this store
This store does not use a cookie consent banner, so there is no on-site control for accepting or rejecting the non-essential categories described above. The controls that are available to you are the choices on our Your Privacy Choices page, and your browser and device settings, described below.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information, and of its use for targeted advertising. You can exercise those choices on our Your Privacy Choices page.
If you visit the store with a Global Privacy Control signal enabled in your browser, and you are in a region where that signal must be honoured, we will treat it as an opt-out request for that browser and device.
In your browser
Every major browser lets you see the cookies stored on your device, delete them, and block some or all of them in future. These controls are usually found under settings named "Privacy", "Cookies and site data", or "Site settings". You can normally:
- view and delete the cookies a particular site has stored;
- block all third-party cookies while allowing first-party ones;
- clear all cookies when you close the browser;
- browse in a private or incognito window, which discards cookies when you close it.
Please bear in mind that blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the cart and checkout from working, and that clearing cookies will also clear any opt-out preference you have previously recorded, because that preference is itself stored in a cookie.
On your device
Mobile operating systems provide their own advertising identifier and tracking controls, separate from your browser settings. These are usually found in the privacy or advertising section of your device settings.
Do Not Track
Other than the Global Privacy Control signal described above, we do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals sent by browsers, as there is no common standard for how they should be interpreted.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the services we use or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date above.
